One of the FOCA goals is that each team have a family liaison to assist the coaching staff with communication and organization.
FOCA (Friends of Cambridge Athletics) is organizing the Fall Fundraiser-a Walkathon at Fresh Pond. Funds raised support Falcons teams in various ways-purchase of trophies awarded at the end of each season, scholarships for graduating seniors, grants for teams and more. The majority of the funds that student-athletes raise go directly into their team accounts, and we hope that your student-athlete has been working on getting pledges to support her/his team! All fall student-athletes should get a pledge form from their coach or from the main desk in the Athletic Department. The goal for everyone is to gather pledges from friends, family and community members who you are familiar with to support your team. When asking for donations, please try to wear some Falcons clothing (tee shirt, hat, shorts, hoodies) to identify you as a CRLS athlete. Try to go out in pairs so that you are not travelling alone. The 2014 Fall Walk-A-Thon is nearly here!
On Sunday, September 28, we expect over 150 student-athletes from all the Fall teams to participate in the Friends of Cambridge Athletics (FOCA) Walkathon at Fresh Pond. Athletes will gather donations from the community and raise funds to support FOCA. The event is supported by the Cambridge Recreation and Water Departments.
