Join/Support the 33rd Annual Cambridge City Run/Walk 4/7/19 @ 9AM – Please attend/support this annual community event attracting hundreds of runners/walkers from Cambridge, surrounding communities and CRLS sports teams. CRLS Athletes through Friends of Cambridge Athletics (FOCA) are the lead beneficiaries with proceeds supporting student scholarships and the needs of athletic teams. FOCA is coordinating the event with Marathon Sports and The Andrea Harvey Fund with some proceeds supporting their scholarships awards program and domestic violence awareness (Andrea was a CRLS graduate and East Boston High teacher). The Race will take place entirely within Fresh Pond Reservation, mainly on historic paved pathways. To run, walk and/or donate go to: cityrun2019@.racewire.com To address questions about group discounts, special sponsoring donations, or volunteering: firstname.lastname@example.org
FOCA’s Annual Winter Social is taking place on January 26th, 5:30-7:30 pm- Meet your child’s coach and other parents from the CRLS Athletic teams you love. $25 per person provides drinks and hors d’oeuvres, opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for some great prizes, silent auctions items and all your generosity supports CRLS Athletes and their coaches.
Now that the Holiday Season is (finally) over and you have had some time to relax at home, gear up for your next PARTY…
Friends of Cambridge Athletics (FOCA) is having its annual WINTER SOCIAL, 1/26/19, 84 Magazine Street, 5:30-7:30 pm.
We received over 50 applications for each of these awards, from a very talented pool of seniors, making it extremely difficult to choose the final award recipients. The five different FOCA awards ($1000 each) were presented last week -each awarded to a young woman and a young man. Sports represented this year included baseball, basketball, crew cross country and track, diving and swimming, football, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, volleyball, and wrestling. A fair number of our awardees have excelled in not just one sport, but two, and many have been on the varsity team during their entire career at CRLS.
Pictured from Left to Right are some of the Awardees: Ella Brown, Sebastian Newman, Aidan Keefer, Julia Naganuma-Carreras, Lucas Chen, Jacobi Cline Gates & Dina Voevodsky. Missing from the photo- Thomas McNulty, Margaret Pimlott, Abigail Reynolds
